DO IT FOR SPORT RELIEF 2018

This year we are really excited to be raising money for Sport Relief 2018!  As one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, Sport Relief brings the entire nation together to get active, raise money and change lives.

Sport Relief 2018 will be kicking off in school the week beginning Monday 19th March. To do our bit and raise money we will be organising various events throughout the week.  During the students’ PE lesson, they will be running a sponsored mile.  Each day during the week children will take on a challenge. Monday – 50 star jumps, Tuesday – 30 burpees, Wednesday – 40 mountain climbers, Thursday – 50 knee ups and Friday is take your pick from the challenges! KS1 will be challenged to do half of the amount mentioned above.

We will finish the week with ‘Wear What You Like’ on Friday 23rd March in Olympic colours and the cost is £1.00; Year 1&2 yellow, Year 3 black, Year 4 red, Year 5 green and Year 6 blue, or £1.00 to wear your own clothes.

We will be selling the sports relief wrist bands from Monday 5th March for £1 each and children will be allowed to wear them at school from the 5th to the 23rd March.

The best bit is, the money raised by the public is spent by Comic Relief to help people living incredibly tough lives, both at home in the UK and across the world's poorest countries.  To learn more about how Comic Relief spends the money raised for Sport Relief please visit: www.sportrelief.com/schools

We will also be using Sport Relief as a teaching opportunity so that our students can learn about the issues children across the world face, and how the money we raise can help them.

We really appreciate your support and hope that you’ll have fun helping Larwood School raise lots of money for Sport Relief!
